Geologists are like cold case detectives, following the trail of evidence that shows the passages of time. They pursue commonly known ideas such as counting tree rings, ice core layers, and sedimentary varves, as well as those bases on radioactive decay. On Saturday, January 12th, 2019, Dr. Wolgemuth will discuss various dating methods, their strengths and weaknesses and respond to criticisms raised from 10am to 12pm.
The Speaker: Dr. Ken Wolgemuth is a geologist, a visiting scholar with RTB, a Colson Fellows trained in apologetics, and Founder of Solid rock Lectures. he is a co-author of a book written expressly for the church, The Grand Canyon, Monument to an Ancient Earth.
Notes about the free parking for our Saturday morning meetings:
- They meet at the Longhorns for Christ building marked by the red flag at the top of the map above and the photo below. Abundant parking is almost always available in the church lot and all spaces are available for your use.
- Attendees are welcome to drive up and drop off guests before finding parking elsewhere if all the parking spots are taken.
- There is metered street parking on Colorado, 17th and 18th Streets. These do require quarters so remember to bring coins in case you have to park here.
- There is a parking garage on Colorado St. three blocks south of Martin Luther King Blvd (circled in red below). There is a sign which states authorized parking only, however, this is a state garage and we have called and confirmed that we can park there on Saturdays. This garage should be free.
