The Bridge Austin General Contest Rules

Please note: The Bridge Austin 101.1 FM & 1120 AM KTXW / GLG Media, LLC (“THE STATION”) present these general contest rules. Certain additional contest rules may apply where necessary.

A) By participating in a contest on THE STATION and/or its website, entrants agree to the specific rules, terms and conditions provided for that particular contest as stated, either in addition to or in place of the General Contest Rules stated here.

B) No purchases necessary to enter. Contests are open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older (unless otherwise specified), except employees of THE STATION subsidiaries, contest sponsors, advertising agencies, contest prize suppliers, participating advertisers and immediate family.

C) Except as otherwise provided in specific contest rules, entries may be submitted by telephone, mail, email, or to THE STATION website. Contest entrant must give name, address, daytime telephone numbers and age. All entries become the proper THE STATION reserves the right to use any of the entries, without additional compensation, for any purpose whatsoever, including use of the winning participant’s name, voice and likeness for promotional purposes.

D) One entry per person. One winner per household. Void where prohibited by law.

E) Listeners may only win or qualify to win once every thirty (30) days. THE STATION reserves the right to extend the thirty (30) day rule to the length of any specific contest.

F) THE STATION reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the contest if it is not capable of completion as planned for any reason.

G) The decision of THE STATION is final.

H) All federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. Winner agrees to hold harmless and indemnify THE STATION) and their respective agents against any and all liability. Any additional costs relating to the prizes, and incurred as a result of accepting the prizes, is the sole responsibility of the winner.

I) By entering, entrant agrees to hold harmless and indemnify THE STATION and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, governors, employees and agents against any and all liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described), with respect to or arising out of either entrant’s participation, or the receipt or use of the prizes awarded in the promotion. In consideration of participation in a contest, and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, the Entrant, on Entrant’s behalf, and on behalf of Entrant’s heirs, successors or assigns, administrators and personal representatives, does hereby COVENANT NOT TO SUE, FULLY RELEASE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE THE STATION and each of their respective direct and indirect subsidiaries, affiliates, partners and related entities from and against any and all actions, charges, claims, losses, costs, damages, expenses (including attorneys’ fees and expenses) and liabilities of any kind or character, whether known or unknown, in connection with, arising out of or in any way related to Entrant’s participation in any contest.

J) THE STATION is not responsible for any technical difficulties of telephone callers to complete the call during the call-in portion of the contest THE STATION reserves the right to move on to the next caller. Only calls to the designated telephone number will be eligible to win.

K) THE STATION are not responsible for any mail entries that are late, misdirected, lost, misplaced, illegible, mutilated or postage-due entries for any reason.

L) All required fields of website entries must be accurately completed for the entry will be deemed valid. THE STATION shall have no liability for any malfunction of the Internet, the bridge austinrwebsite or any other computer-related processor system.

M) Prizes are specified within individual contest rules. Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable. No substitution or cash equivalent will be made. THE STATION) reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the awarded prize in unavailable for any reason.

N) THE STATION is not responsible for any events beyond their control (acts of God, cancelled concert, artist or performer non-appearance, etc). If tickets to a performance are awarded as a prize, THE STATION is not responsible for any cancellation or rescheduling of the performance for any reason and has no obligation to reimburse, refund or otherwise substitute the tickets for another prize should the performance not be rescheduled or vouchers not issued. Furthermore, THE STATION is not responsible for cancellations or delays in travel accommodations and has no obligation to reimburse, refund or otherwise substitute any tickets awarded as a part of a travel prize due to such cancellations or delays.

O) Winners will be selected as described in the specific rules of each contest

P) Winners agree to appear at THE STATION studios to claim the prize, unless alternate arrangements are acceptable to THE STATION. The business office address is 314 E. Highland Mall Blvd, Suite 250, Austin, TX 78752. Prizes may only be claimed during office hours between 9:00 am through 5:00 pm, unless otherwise specified. If prize is picked up in person, Winners must provide proof of age, photo identification and a valid taxpayer identification number or social security number before any prize will be awarded. If the prize is a travel ticket(s), travel partners, if any, must meet age eligibility requirements and must also execute an affidavit of eligibility, indemnification and release of liability prior to awarding the prize.

In the event that a prize is mailed to the winner, pursuant to winner’s prior written and/or verbal consent, The winner assumes the risk of the prize’s safe arrival. If a prize is not delivered by the USPS, the radio station can not and will not replace the prize in any form. Prizes of higher value will not be mailed.

Q) Winners have thirty (30) days from the date their name is first announced on the air, or by other disclosed mode of public dissemination, to claim and pick up their prize. Failure to claim and pick up prize within this time for any reason will result in forfeiture of the prize. THE STATION reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to award unclaimed prizes to alternate contestants or not to award the unclaimed prizes.

R) All participants agree to be bound by these rules. THE STATION in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person for violating any of these rules, tampering, cheating, or similar inappropriate behavior.

S) These rules apply to all sponsored contests of THE STATION unless modified or superceded by rules written for a specific contest, or if inapplicable for such a promotion or contest. THE STATION reserves the right to supplement or make changes to the rules of any contest at any time. THE STATION shall not be responsible for any administrative errors involved in the execution of any contest.

T) Copies of the Official Rules for any contest may also be attained by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope with the identity of the contest inquiry to THE STATION Business Office: 314 E. Highland Mall Blvd, Suite 250, Austin, TX 78752, attention General Manager.

U) All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.

V) Participation in a contest or giveaway gives The Bridge Austin permission to use all video and audio recordings on the radio, websites and social media. Participation in a contest or giveaway also gives The Bridge Austin permission to add participants to The Bridge Austin e-mail list for future contests and news from the radio station. This list is for The Bridge Austin use only and is not shared or sold to anyone. Any person receiving the newsletter that does not wish to, may unsubscribe at any time.
