Volunteer with Brown Santa

Travis County Sheriff’s Office is in need of the community’s help with their Brown Santa program! They are in need of volunteers to help out with sharing the holiday spirit! Volunteer duties may include: unloading trailers, warehouse set-up, sorting food, wrapping presents, etc.

A few guidelines and notes about volunteering…

• If you want to walk in to volunteer, walk-ins (1 or 2 persons) will ONLY be allowed during MONDAY – THURSDAY hours. For SATURDAY and SUNDAY shifts please email traviscountybrownsanta@gmail.com.
• Groups of 3 or more will need email to confirm to traviscountybrownsanta@gmail.com.
• Only adults or “big kid” volunteers are allowed to help with the loading of trucks – no small children will be allowed to assist with loading.
• Only 2 hour increments for volunteering are available.
• Please do not sign up more than 15 persons per group.
• Beginning on October 1, 2018, sign-up to VOLUNTEER at the Warehouse by emailing traviscountybrownsanta@gmail.com.
  • Sign-up will ONLY be done by email this year; you will receive a confirmation.

Shifts that are open for you to volunteer… 
*To sign up, they need the date and time frame along with a contact name, contact number, and how many in the group.*

• Dec. 4^th: 12-2, 3-5pm, 4-6pm, 6-8pm
• Dec. 5^th: 3-5pm, Dec. 6^th 3-5pm, 4-6pm
• Dec. 7^th: 3-5pm, 4-6pm
• Dec. 9^th: 4-6p
• Dec. 10^th: 12-2pm, 3-5pm
• Dec. 11^th: 4-6pm6-8pm
• Dec. 12^th: 12-2pm, 3-5pm, 4-6pm, 6-8pm
• Dec. 13^th: 12-2pm, 3-5pm, 4-6pm
• And they still need help from Dec. 18^th through Dec. 29^th.
  • The hours are anytime between 9am-4pm Monday through Friday and there are no time frames.

*As they get closer to the 18^th , they will revisit if they will be open on the weekends.  The task will be sorting toys and food.*
